The main draw of people to Croatia is the natural beauty, and if that’s what you’re going for then believe us that you won’t be disappointed!
The world-famous Plitvice national park is situated just inland and is known for its amazing waterfalls and its crystal clear water. It’s well worth spending a day just walking around and taking it all in. However, being a very famous spot means that you should not expect to be alone and certainly towards the lower lakes it can get quite busy.
If you want the natural beauty of Plitvice but a more relaxed atmosphere, then head to Krka national park. It is situated in Dalmatia, further in the south of the country near Split. Not many people go there as it is not as well-known and does not have UNESCO status, but it’s still amazing. Plus, the main draw…you can go swimming! While strictly banned at Plitvice, swimming is perfectly fine at Krka!
One final place famed for beauty is Split, located in the south on the coast it is renowned for its natural beauty and the ruins of a roman palace. If you do end up visiting Croatia, definitely head there, it’s worth it! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”Interesting Tip
